Weird wood carving, fluttery eye lashes, and Sussell are on! Neighbours Tuesday 1st September 2015 Episode 7192

After arguing with Brad following on from her drunken arrival at the school concert rehearsal, Terese has spent the night on the couch.  Brad must be very pissed off with her as the guy normally offers to take the couch!

 

 

As Brennan and Kyle head off to visit Toadie in hospital Shelia tells them that she is going on a date to a contemporary art museum with Russell.  While they are at the hospital Kyle tells Brennan tells of his concerns for Shelia, and asks Brennan to check that his Dad is genuinely interested in Sheila as he doesn’t want his Gran to get hurt.

Brennan meets with his Dad and asks him to be careful around Sheila and to make sure that he is really serious about her before he spends too much time with her and she gets hurt.  After his chat with Brennan, Russell gets cold feet and calls off the date with Sheila much to her dismay.

 

 

On her way to work Paige finds the wood carving that Terese asked Brad to get rid of in the rubbish bin and she rescues it.  When Brad goes into Harold’s he is surprised to see Paige and Lauren are displaying the wood carving, and they are shocked to learn that he made it himself.  He tells them that he thinks it is rubbish but Lauren says that he is talented and that he shouldn’t doubt his abilities.  It is really nice that Paige and Lauren are being so supportive of Brad’s work, but I’m really sorry but I don’t like the wood carving! I find it really weird looking and I keep trying to figure out what it is.  Sorry Brad, I love you but just not your wood work!

 

Later at the hospital when Angie visits Toadie in hospital she tells him that she is suspicious of Amy and Kyle hanging out together.  “’I’ve seen him fluttering his eye lashes at her” Angie tells Toadie, but he reminds her that Kyle’s eye lashes are so long that he can’t help but flutter them at people.  To be fair Kyle does have lovely eye lashes and impressive eyebrows too! After her conversation with Toadie, Angie takes it upon herself to call Rhonda and Georgia just to check things out for herself and they are all delighted to hear that Rhonda is in remission and she and Georgia will be returning home from Germany imminently.

 

 

 

At the Willis house Terese talks to Brad and she tells him that she feels like she doesn’t know how to fix things between them. Terese says that she misses the way that they used to be and how they used to laugh so much and finish each other’s sentences.  She puts her arms around him and tells him that she loves him, but Brad doesn’t say anything back.  As a bit of a Terese hater, I couldn’t help but laugh to myself a little bit at that moment.

 

After thinking on his actions for a bit Russell apologises to Sheila for getting cold feet and cancelling their date.  He suggests that they don’t put any pressure on things and just give it a go and see where things go between them.  So Sussell (that’s the ship name I have given Russell and Sheila) are on!!

 

At the hospital Amber has a glucose test which she is getting bored of waiting around to recover from, so she texts her friend Phoebe to come and visit her.  Josh who is posing as Phoebe takes the opportunity to pretend that he has randomly remembered the test and turns up at the hospital.  When he gets to the hospital Josh goes to get Amber a drink and leaves his phone in his jacket pocket, at which point I shouted at the screen “Noooo! Take your phone with you!!!”  Amber starts texting Phoebe only for the phone in Josh’s pocket to start beeping every time she sends a message, so she pulls out Josh’s phone and finds all of the texts that she has sent phoebe.  Busted!

Nice guy Chris, a reminder of Brax, and the new Nicole? Home and Away Thursday 27th August 2015 Episode 6229

When Chris races into the gym after he hears Billies screams, the police are called and Nate is taken in for questioning.  Billie is such a schemer and a huge attention seeker! She really reminds me massively of the character of Nicole Franklin when she first came into Home and Away.

 

Phoebe and Kyle find themselves looking after baby Casey again to help out Ricky, but they start to think that she is avoiding spending time with him.

 

 

At the police station, Katarina believes that Nate is innocent and gets irritated with her boss who is stopping her from getting involved in the investigation because she has a personal relationship with Nate.

 

After being the first on the scene when Billie was assaulted, Chris has to give a statement to the police.  He is conflicted as he doesn’t believe that Nate could do something like that and he doesn’t want to get him into any trouble.  I do love how much of a nice guy Chris is, he always wants to see the best in everybody!

 

Back at the police station, Katarina is sent home by her boss after she is seen trying to influence both Ash and Chris to use their common sense and ask themselves if they really think Nate is capable of assault.

After having some time to herself Ricky finally resumes childcare responsibilities from Phoebe and Kyle.  Within minutes Ricky is struggling to be around Casey because of him reminding her so much of Brax.

 

 

 

 

After her accusations against Nate, Billie is interviewed by the Police and she shows them an explicit text message that is allegedly from Nate.  The police catch up with Nate and tell him about the text message evidence that they have against him and Katarina instantly drops Nate’s hand when she hears this new information.  Despite his protests Nate is arrested for sexually assaulting Billie.

Nobody puts baby in the corner, Angie returns and the most expensive glass of red wine ever? Neighbours Monday 31st Augsust 2015 episode 7191

This episode of Neighbours kicked off with Imogen apologising to Daniel for having to see her parents arguing at their failed dinner the night before.  She tells Daniel that she wants to help them try to sort things out but is taken a back when he tells her that she shouldn’t interfere and should let them sort things out for themselves.  Imogen is a natural control freak so it is just not in her nature to let things take their own course.  This is the first time that we have seen Daniel and Imogen have a difference of opinion since they got together and you can see that Imogen is uncomfortable with it.

 

At number 30 Amy is working on some floor plans for the house to accommodate Toadie’s wheelchair and Sonya is relieved that somebody is doing something constructive to help as Toadie is still in denial about the situation.

 

Josh and Aaron continue to work on their dance moves and Josh tells Aaron about finding out about Brad and Lauren’s moment through his messages to Amber while he has been posing as Phoebe.  Josh tells Aaron that he will have to come clean to Amber about the real identity of Phoebe before Amber finds out for herself.  While they are perfecting their moves Aaron suggests incorporating saying “nobody puts baby in the corner” into the routine, but Josh isn’t sure.  I think I have to agree, it’s a little bit cheesy Aaron!

 

 

Back at number 30 Sonya takes a phone call from the insurance company and looks extremely frazzled and worried by what they have to say.  At the hospital she tells Toadie that their card that covered their insurance premiums had expired so they haven’t been paying for their insurance and so they will not be getting a pay-out for Toadie’s accident.  I felt so sorry for Sonya in this scene, not being able to claim on the insurance when you know you will have a loss of earnings is bad enough, but to know it was your mistake or over sight is just awful.  Toadie tells her not to worry and that they will be fine, but we can tell that he is really very worried.

 

 

At the Waterhole, Terese walks in and orders a large glass of red wine.  “Aren’t you doing alcohol free August?” Nate asks her, “I’m pretty sure that I’m sponsoring you”.  I loved the way that Nate shaded her there! Terese is saved by Paul coming over and saying that people taking part in alcohol free August can buy a golden pass and he gives her $100 to put in to the charity and asks Nate to get her a glass of wine.  That is probably seriously the most expensive glass of red wine ever!  Terese sits down with Paul and tells him all about her marriage woes, and her insecurities over Brad.

 

 

 

At the hospital Angie has arrived in town and Sonya is instantly irritated by her fussing over Toadie’s every need.  I always kind of love it when Angie comes back into Neighbours because it reminds me of the 90’s when she was a main character, and of the days of Stone fish etc.  I just love a good throw back! 

 

When Imogen comes to the hospital to drop off some paper work to Toadie, she tells him that he doesn’t need to worry about any of their work because she has it covered but Toadie tells her that he can’t guarantee her job because he is having some financial difficulties.

 

 

After drinking the day away in the Waterhole Terese thinks it would be a good idea to go and surprise Brad at the school concert rehearsal.  Paul warns her that it is a bad idea but later on Terese calls a cab and goes anyway.  When Terese arrives at the school she drunkenly crashes into some music stands and her and Brad get into a huge cringe worthy argument in front of everybody.

At Harolds, Imogen tells Daniel about her potential job loss because of Toadies situation and she tells him that she wishes that she could help in some way, and Daniel tells her that maybe they can help.  Later at the Waterhole they tell Josh and Aaron that they are going to organise a charity benefit for Toadie and Sonya.

 

Back at number 30, Amy is still working on her floor plans for the house and when Angie asks her what they are for she is shocked to learn that Toadie is going to be in a wheelchair.

Farewell Jett! A flower for the teacher, and a unicorn in Summer Bay? Home and Away Episode 6228 Wednesday 26th August 2015

It was a sad day in Summer Bay today, as we bid farewell to Jett! It really does feel like we have watched Jett grow from a boy to a young man over the last few years.  Remember when he first came into it and he was this wayward little kid who was going around stealing food from people? and now he is embarking on a career in the military.  I am really going to miss his character and the sweet relationship between him, John and Marilyn.

Marilyn gets very upset at Jett’s leaving party because she doesn’t want him to leave, but she tells him that her tears are just selfish because she wants more time with him.

 

 

At the leaving party Chris and Billie hit it off, and he proclaims that he has found his unicorn as she likes all the same things as him.  Chris asks her out on a date but Billie says she thinks he should avoid her as she has been a mess lately, but she says that they can be friends.

Billie also takes the opportunity that day to apologise to Nate and Katarina for all the upset that she has caused them with her crush on Nate.  They accept her apology and Billie says that she hopes that they can all be friends someday.

 

After his leaving party Jett finds Alf on the beach and thanks him for inspiring him to go to boarding school to eventually join the military.  Alf tells Jett that it has been a pleasure watching him grow up. 

Later that day Jett says his goodbyes to John and Marilyn and leaves on the bus for boarding school.  I always get super sad when people leave Summer Bay on the bus and you can see them waving and getting further and further away from the bay.

 

 

 

Elsewhere in the bay, Matt is still being pressurised by Maddy over his love life and he eventually agrees to go on a double date with Maddy, Oscar and a girl called Sandra from school.  The date is a disaster and Matt finds Sandra completely uninteresting.  He gets so irritated that he ends up leaving the date early and walking out of Angelo’s.

The awful date with Sandra only seems to make Matt more determined to pursue Charlotte, and he is later spotted by Maddy giving her a flower.

When Maddy pressurises Matt over the moment with the flower that she saw between him and Charlotte, he ends up confessing that he and Charlotte have slept together.  Maddy is pretty horrified by his admission of truth.

 

At the gym Chris is finishing a work out when Billie asks him if he wants to get a juice with him after her shift.  He hastily, (a bit too hastily in my opinion agrees), and Billie tells him to meet her outside the gym after her shift.

 

 

When Billie’s shift ends Nate is finishing a work out and leaving the gym and Billie takes the opportunity to apologise to him again.  She strokes his face but then suddenly scratches him, rips her own top and screams at him to get away from her.  Chris who was waiting outside hears her screams and runs in to comfort and protect her, while assuming the worst in Nate’s actions.

Avocado drama, Karl Kennedy in a school uniform? and Tylers eyes! Neighbours episode 7190 Friday 28th August 2015

Dimogen are in full swing now and when Terese runs into the loved up pair following another night at the penthouse, she suggests that they stay at the Willis house that night for a change.  Daniel tells Imogen he is worried that Brad might not be on board with him staying over, but Imogen is adamant that people have to get used them as a couple. They have already been spotted looking loved up that day by Amber, who is still adjusting to her ex and her best friend dating.

 

 

 

 

Things are still pretty unsettled between Brad and Terese and they argue at the house when Brad finds out that Terese has invited Daniel to stay the night without asking him first.  Brad is also frustrated by Terese’s lack of interest in his problems with the school concert.

 

At Erinsborough high when Ben doesn’t turn up for the school concert rehearsal he is questioned by Brad and he tells him that he has decided not to take part.  Brad later tells Karl that he isn’t sure of the reason why Ben doesn’t want to be in the concert but that during his conversation with Ben the students seemed to be looking at something on their phones and laughing.

Karl tracks Tyler down and practically begs him to let him know what is going on with Ben, as he knows that Ben has been confiding in Tyler.  Karl tells Tyler that Ben could be a risk to himself if they can’t help him and Tyler reluctantly lets Karl know about the photos of Ben that are on the internet.  In this scene I kind of noticed for the first time how nice Tyler’s eyes are, he has those kind of eyes that betray a lot of emotion and you can see deep into the person through them.

Back at the school Lauren is dropping off some afternoon tea for a meeting and conveniently runs into Brad who is despairing about Ben dropping out of the school concert.  “Couldn’t you just get a local muso to don an Erinsborough High uniform and perform instead?” Lauren suggests. “What like Karl Kennedy?” Brad jokingly offers back.  Seriously guys, that’s not an image that we wanted in our minds! Brad ends up confiding in Lauren about Terese not asking him before she invited Daniel to stay the night and she suggests that his frustrations might be to do with the fact that he still sees Imogen as his little girl.

At Harold’s later on Brad thanks Lauren for her help and Amber spots another flirty moment between the pair.  Amber texts her friend Phoebe about what she has just seen, and as Phoebe is really Josh he is horrified to learn there is still a spark between Lauren and Brad.

 

When Brad learns of the reason why Ben has dropped out of the school concert he encourages Ben who is thinking of leaving for China to own his mistake.  Ben takes Brad’s advice and performs his guitar music to his classmates and Brad, Tyler and Karl with a PSA style video in the background telling the story of the mistake he made with the nude photos and warning his classmates not to go down the same path.

 

 

 

When Brad arrives home he meets with a furious Terese who is angered that his phone was turned off and he did not get the message to pick up an avocado for the dinner that she is making for Daniel and Imogen.  I cringed for Terese in this scene, although I am sure we girls have all had that time at some point in our lives where we have kicked off about something minor and then regretted it the next day.  A full on argument ensues and Daniel and Imogen end up leaving and going to Lassiters instead.

Witnessing the argument between his parents and remembering the information that he has gained about Brad and Lauren from Amber, Josh sits his mum down for a firm chat.  Josh tells Terese that she is ruining her marriage and that Brad is probably going to start looking elsewhere.

Buff Andy, #mattandsashpash and twerking in the diner? Home and Away episode 6227 Tuesday 25th August 2015

Hey guys! So a couple of years ago I used to do write ups of episodes of Home and Away and Neighbours and just lately I have got into writing reviews again so I though that I would start posting these on my blog again.  I tend to watch the show a couple of weeks behind when episodes air in the UK so they wont be very up to date, but I hope you enjoy them anyway...

Today’s episode dealt with the fallout from Hannah’s secret night with Sean being exposed to Andy.  After Evelyn Spent the night at Zac and Leah’s following Hannah slapping her, Leah goes to speak to Hannah.  Hannah tells Leah that she regrets sleeping with Sean, but that she was looking for an escape from everything.  Hannah says that she feels trapped and that she never planned to end up raising teenagers. 

After her chat with Hannah, Leah suggests to Zac that Evelyn and Oscar move in with them while Hannah and Andy sort their problems out, but Zac isn’t sure.  To me it was crazy that Leah would suggest that as an option when Hannah has a whole massive farm house! Seriously, Leah’s house always looks tiny and they already have Leah, VJ, Zac, Nate and Matt living there!

Zac speaks to Andy and tells him that Evelyn and Oscar are getting caught in the cross fire of his and Hannah’s problems.  We got treated to a nice little surf scene of Andy coming out of the water during his chat with Zac too, where he was looking extremely buff! Andy goes to speak to Hannah but unfortunately for Hannah, he arrives just as Sean is asking her to be with him now that his wife has left him.

Andy promptly leaves and at Angelo’s he runs into Sean’s wife Emma, who is celebrating finally kicking her dirt bag husband to the kerb.  After a fair bit of Champagne the pair end up at the gym tearing each other’s clothes off, but Andy can’t go through with it.  Emma leaves looking pretty disappointed, but who wouldn’t? Andy is hot!

 

 

At Summer Bay High, Matt’s love life is a hot topic.  When he tells Maddy and Oscar to get a room they remind him that he was always making out with Sasha and that they did it so often they even had their own hashtag #mattandsashpash.  Oblivious to his night in the caravan with Miss King, the pair think that his love life needs a boost and they suggest setting him up on a date with a mystery girl.

Leah is still suspicious of the odd tension between Matt and Charlotte.  When Leah confronts Charlotte about it she has to think on her feet and she tells Leah that Matt wasn’t happy that she said his work wasn’t up to scratch.  Leah asks Charlotte if she can give Matt some extra tuition to help him out which she reluctantly agrees to.  At their first tutoring session Matt hints about the double date that is being arranged by Maddy with the mystery girl.  He tells Charlotte that she has ruined him and that younger girls don’t do it for him anymore, and they end up kissing in the classroom.

 

 

Moody Josh is still brooding about the fact that Evelyn kept the secret about Hannah’s night with Sean from him, until Andy tells him to get over it and reminds him that blood is thicker than water.  Josh finds Evelyn in the middle of writing a letter to him to apologise, but he lets her know that he is the one who is out of line and everything is forgiven.

 

 

 

 

At Angelo’s Jett is taken aback by the surprise party that has been thrown for him before he leaves for boarding school.  The party saw Home and Away drop its first ‘twerking’ reference as well, when John threatened to bring out his dance moves.  “I don’t think we are ready for you twerking in the diner” Roo told him. Fully agreed Roo!
